Formed in 1981, the NUS Rondalla is an ensemble which performs on a mix of Spanish and Filipino-made instruments. The group uses plucked-stringed instruments - bandurias, lauds, mondolas, octavinas, mandolins, guitars and double basses. It has also developed its own instrumental mix and music arrangements.
Under the leadership of Music Director and Conductor Dr Joseph Peters, the NUS Rondalla's repertoire ranges from folk to popular music.
The NUS Rondalla performs annually at its concert, Fiesta Rondalla. Its past performances include:

- Funkamania at Ngee Ann City
- Interactive sessions at schools
- Arts in the City - Contemporary Jazz at Art Square, Raffles City
- NUS Centennial Roving Exhibition at Raffles City Shopping Centre
- Jazz at the Beach at Sentosa
- Music Performances at Concourse and Outdoor Theatre, Esplanade
The group represented Singapore in Cuerdas sa Panaghiusa, the 2nd International Rondalla Festival held at Dumaguete City, the Philippines from 19 to 25 February 2007
